About department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adikavi Nannaya University, University College of Engineering has been active in teaching and research since its inception in 2019. Currently, the faculty working in the department are well qualified and experienced faculty from various premiere institutes. The Department of Mechanical offers four-year under-graduate programme with an intake of 60 in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2019 with the goal of producing quality engineers not only for our country but also for other countries. Thermal Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Materials Sciences, CAD/CAM, and other technical subjects are covered in the Mechanical Engineering field of study. Mechanical engineers are people who have the pragmatic ability to design, model, analyse, and create physical systems while keeping socio-humanistic needs in mind. Department has initiated a student club - YANTRIK to support students in applying creative thinking and design techniques to interdisciplinary design processes based on mechanical engineering.

Our department's strength stems from its excellent faculty, comprehensive facilities, and the market success of our graduates. Many of our faculty members are well-known in their fields and have made a name for themselves as educators. Our students receive a solid engineering education with an emphasis on creativity and innovation, as well as a strong sense of ethical responsibility. The mechanical engineering programme prepares graduates to be strong leaders. . These leadership skills, as well as our program's high technical standards, builds strong interest of industries and employers throughout the region.
