About department

           Adikavi Nannaya University has established Department of Physics in the year 2019 at Adikavi Nannaya University Campus, Tadepalligudem. The Department has rich teaching and research traditions. At beginning, University has sanctioned 33 seats (including EWS Quota) for Department of Physics. Physics department is running with good academic lab. The laboratory sessions are intended to give the students a hands-on experience of the experiments that enable the verification of the knowledge gained in the theory classes. One academic batch (2019-2021) has relieved with good aggregate and everyone got good jobs in reputed educational institutions. Currently, second academic batch (2020-2022) is teaching by three Assistant Professors( Ad-hoc). Faculty members are also collaborating with the scientists working at TIFR Mumbai, BARC Mumbai, UGC-DAE-CSR Indore, JNU New Delhi, IIT-Madras, University of Hyderabad, Andhra University etc. Research in the Department is being pursued in many of the major contemporary areas of experimental and theoretical physics, viz, High Energy Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Liquid Crystals, Nano Science and Nanotechnology, Photonics and Non Linear Dynamics. Department of Physics always aims to encourage and provoke the students towards research and sculpt them with research skills.
